Arogya World held its annual event on May 17th at The Golden Triangle, an art and antique shop in Chicago. The sold-out crowd heard remarks from U.S. Senator Dick Durbin and Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle, and celebrated the organization’s remarkable recent progress. Also present were U.S. Congressman Dan Lipinski and Indian Consul General Dr. Ausaf Sayeed and several business and community leaders in Chicago. The event had strong corporate sponsorship which helped us build our Chicago presence including Aon, Mesirow Financial, Quinnox, HealthiPass, Duane Morris, and JP Morgan.
Our goal this year was to deepen our roots in our home base of Chicago and expand awareness of our mission to prevent non-communicable diseases around the world. We emphasize healthy eating as a way to prevent NCDs, and the evening featured delicious healthy fare provided by Saigon Sisters and Kendall College, both F.I.T. City restaurants working to make healthy eating accessible in Chicago.
We thank all who came and supported us in Chicago – our work would not be possible without your support.
